Jimmy Buffett once said “Don’t try to describe the ocean if you’ve never seen it”

Buffett obviously wasn’t talking about marketing strategy here, but honestly, it really does fit.

You can’t get real, actionable insights from a distance. A good strategist doesn’t rely on surface-level assumptions. They step into the audience’s world, see through their eyes, and challenge what may seem obvious.

I pride myself on being analytical, research-driven, and stubborn enough to keep digging until I find the insight that makes all the difference, and craft the strategy that turns that deep understanding into action.

When I’m not digging into strategy, there’s a good chance I’m making music. I play the clarinet, piano, guitar, and bass, with more coming soon. So if it has strings or keys, I’ll figure out how to play it.

I also have a deep love for animals and conservation, especially the weird and wonderful creatures of the world. One of them, my dear companion Majima the blue-tongue skink, has been supervising me from my shoulder as I write this.
